Deyna Vesey is Creative Director and Co-President of Kidvertisers. She started as an animator, then became an art director/TV producer at W.B. Doner in Detroit, winning CADDY and CLIO awards for work on Ball Park Franks, Highland Appliance and other retail accounts.
At JWT as V.P. Art Director, Deyna co-created “I Want to Be a Toys ‘R’ Us Kid” and created the Big Kids Club for Burger King — in addition to award-winning work for Kodak, Pepsi, and The American Red Cross.
Count on Deyna to put strong emphasis on strategic planning, and problem solving, lead team efforts with an assertive, flexible and humorous manner, and volunteer at her son Joe’s school for a half day each week.
Larry Nunno
Larry is semi-retired Account Manager and Co-President. Starting at Young & Rubicam (10 years there, mostly on airline accounts), Larry enjoyed a 14 year run at Kornhauser & Calene (on packaged goods, fashion and toys), which led to co-founding Kidvertisers in 1989. Officially chief devil’s advocate, unofficially a hands-on everything-in-the-shop type.
Clients love Larry because he is honest, experienced and has all the right instincts. The Kidvertisers love Larry for these reasons, too. But also because Larry goes out at 4pm and brings back chocolate.
Hilke Kaupert
Hilke is our #1 import! Originally from Germany, she was a top graphic designer at Asperger Advertising before making the leap across the pond to NYC.
Hilke manages our creative team and art studio, and has learned more than enough English to correct all of our typos. A gifted artist and art director, Hilke sets high standards for all the Kidvertisers, and has a fierce determination to make our work graphic and powerful, and on time for the last FedEx pickup.
Mitch Koffler
Mitch is Associate Creative Director/Head Writer at Kidvertisers. An award-winning copywriter and frustrated Met fan, Mitch’s first foray into the wild world of advertising was at NY shop Wells, Rich, Greene working on Pan Am, Hefty Bags and Purina Dog Chow. At Kornhauser & Calene, Mitch helped fight household odors working on Arm and Hammer, championed birth control for roaches for Black Flag and helped win the Playskool print account.
An original member of Kidvertisers, Mitch developed a talent to connect with kids, parents and the trade across all lines of business. Mitch was head writer on the Playskool “Red” print campaign, created a Nation for Nickelodeon, and was part of the creative team that launched kids TV icons Blue’s Clues, Dora the Explorer and SpongeBob SquarePants. Next up, Mitch helped convince kids to stay in school with the role play game “World Class”, hit South Beach to help fight heart attacks and strokes and even helped Senator Al Gore set the world on fire.
Today, Mitch continues to greet each challenging new day at Kidvertisers with 3 egg whites and his personal mantra: “think of something”.
Jessamine Tepper
Jessamine is a senior art director. She began her career over fifteen years ago, working on Microsoft. Had she bought their stocks then she would be retired by now. Fortunately for us, she was more creative-minded than financially savvy. She has worked for large, medium and small agencies, working on accounts that include IBM, American Express, Mattel, GTE Mobile, PacBell Mobile Services, Korean Air, PacifiCare, Honda Motor Corp, Avia Sportswear, Universal Interactive, Imperial Bank, Greenlight Financial and Jiffy Lube. She has won awards for her work on FHP Healthcare and Paramount Home Video.
Jessamine is a romantic thrill seeker who enjoys long walks on the beach, snowboarding, touring the coastal waters on her kayak, and raising three boys. No pets allowed.
